gewah
summer festival capsule
Client: gewah
Role: Art Director
discipline: apparel
Overview:
For Gewah's capsule collection, designed for the Parklife and Hideout festivals, my role as Art Director was to create merchandise that captured the vibrant festival atmosphere while standing out among competing festival brands. The challenge was to produce designs that were both bold and versatile, ensuring they appealed to a wide range of festival-goers.
Responsibilities:
Design & Art Direction: I developed bold, eye-catching t-shirt designs that balanced intricate graphic elements with simplicity, making them versatile and wearable. Each design reflected the festival vibe, capturing the energy and excitement of the events while maintaining a distinctive style that set the merchandise apart from other festival brands.
Project & Stakeholder Management: I worked closely with the team to ensure the designs aligned with the festival atmosphere and met the brand’s objectives. Regular collaboration and feedback ensured that the final product appealed to diverse audiences while maintaining a cohesive visual theme.
Product Range & Production Techniques: The focus was on t-shirts for this capsule collection, and I made sure that the designs translated well onto the garments, maintaining high visual impact without overcomplicating the look. This approach ensured the merchandise was not only eye-catching but also practical for mass production.
Outcome:
The final collection successfully captured the essence of both Parklife and Hideout festivals, with bold designs that stood out among the crowded festival landscape. The client was pleased with the balance of creativity and wearability, and the merchandise resonated well with a broad audience of festival attendees.
